Socrates, my master, is my friend
but a greater friend is truth.
(Plato)
Honesty and integity is the best policy.
Every action and decision you make
should be based on honesty and integity.
Be honest with yourself and with your
loved ones, especially in times of conflict.
Only with honesty and integity can you be
true to yourself and create your life
the way you want it. When moral principle,
not moral dogma, is involved, don’t budge.
We only compromise on matters of taste
or opinions without serious consequences.
( Jason Ling )
It is only shallow people
who do not judge by appearances.
( Oscar Wilde )
Don’t ever think that you yourself alone
have the ability to save the world.
Don’t take yourself or life too seriously
unless you are prepared and ready.
Accept your limitations.
Accept what cannot be changed.
Accept what is beyond our control after
thorough preparation and proper precautions.
Don’t think that you can be good friend to
everybody because you don’t have enough
time to spend with each of them.
Your prayer is merely a drop in the bucket,
and also don’t assume your prayer has power.
( Jason Ling )
eat, play, excrete, recycle, sleep,
Whenever a person does not try to influence
others with his folly, we should, of course,
respect his choice to remain foolish and
forgive him for our own peace of mind.
Yes, we can find humour in just about
any situation and this is definitely one.
Anyone not in public service has a right
to live his own life the way he wants to.
Yes, both bad taste and foolishness are
human rights for anyone not in public service.
Without this understanding, no one can be
empathetic to the oppressed.
Always put limitations on your love.
Don’t love the tyrants, the oppressors.
And you have no right to forgive them
on behalf of their victims.
( Jason Ling )
Without complementary wisdom, evils can be done,
either consciously or unconsciously,
in the name of love. In other words,
love and wisdom must go hand in hand together.
( Jason Ling )
Help when you are able,
without trying to change the other person
or ask him to go to a church, a temple,
or a monastry in return.
Try to brighten and enlighten the day of
those hopeful you come into contact with,
not in their own way, but in the empathic
way which requires lots of wisdom.
( Jason Ling )
Do not do what you ego tells you to love.
Do what you soul tells you to love.
We spend a great deal of our life working.
So choose a career that we enjoy.
the extra money of a job we dislike
isn’t worth it because we betray our souls.
Many people waste most of their lives,
especially those in business.
In view of the fact that the bad guys always
do what makes them happy and fulfilled,
remember morality and integrity must be
the top priority in our career.
( Jason Ling )
Count your blessings, all of them,
even the things that seem trivial.
Develop a childlike sense of wonder.
Don’t take anything for granted.
Be thankful that you woke up alive
each morning, eat well, sleep well,
excrete well, have time for exercise,
have time to contact with nature,
have time to see the beauty around you,
the beauty of every living thing and
every human being whose mind is alive
and whose soul is still intact.
And most importantly, be thankful that
you grow intellectually or spiritually
before going to sleep. That means
you make the most of each day.
If you can live each day fully,
you are living in the present,
you can face death square on the face,
and you know you are not answering
to anybody about your life but yourself.
( Jason Ling )
就知道沒有人能夠擁有事情的所有答案;
